How QuizBrew uses cookies and storage
QuizBrew uses cookies, local storage, and session storage to run the service, protect accounts, remember optional settings, and measure product journeys when you allow that.
Storage categories
| Category | Examples | Purpose | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Authentication cookies, CSRF token cookie, required account storage | Login, security, billing, quiz operations, and fraud prevention | No, because these are required to provide the service you request |
| Preferences | Saved venue defaults and UI preferences on this device | Remember optional layout and setup choices between visits | Yes |
| Analytics | Journey telemetry buffer and any future analytics tags | Understand product usage and improve the service | Yes |
What we currently store
- Authentication cookies keep logged-in users signed in securely.
- CSRF token cookie protects forms and authenticated API requests.
- Saved settings remember template and venue preferences only if you allow preferences storage.
- Journey telemetry stays disabled unless you allow analytics.
How long items last
- Authentication cookies last until their configured expiry or logout.
- The CSRF cookie lasts for up to 2 hours and refreshes as needed.
- Preference storage lasts until you clear it, change your settings, or withdraw consent.
- Analytics storage is cleared if you switch analytics off.
How to manage your settings
You can change your cookie settings at any time by using the Cookie Settings control on the site.
You can also clear cookies and storage through your browser.
